About 254 Marketing Inc.
Ambition, hard work, and a place to put both.
A sales and marketing company in Eau Claire, Wisconsin built on a simple idea: give people real training and real mentorship, and they will build careers worth keeping.
01 Mission
What we are here to do.
Our mission statement, in full.
Our mission is to empower ambitious individuals by providing the training, mentorship, and opportunities they need to build meaningful, long-lasting careers.
We are committed to developing leaders who create value not only for themselves but also for the organizations and communities they serve. At the same time, we strive to help our clients achieve sustainable growth by delivering exceptional customer experiences, building genuine relationships, and producing measurable, consistent results. We believe that when people are given the right environment to grow, extraordinary outcomes naturally follow.
What that looks like in practice
It means a new representative is trained by someone who is measured on how well they develop people. It means advancement criteria are explained on day one instead of kept vague. And it means our clients hear the truth about their numbers, in good weeks and bad ones.
02 Our Story
How 254 Marketing started.
I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I developed a strong appreciation for hard work, resilience, and continuous self‑improvement. Our founder
After Minneapolis came North Dakota State University, and a bachelor’s degree earned alongside two minors. Then came door-to-door sales — an honest, difficult first job that taught discipline, persistence, and how to communicate with people who did not ask to be interrupted.
That experience built the professional foundation, but it was not the destination. The search for something with real long-term growth and leadership potential led to the Management Training Program (MTP), and to an unexpected discovery: the work worth doing was building teams, developing people, and creating opportunities for others.
254 Marketing grew directly out of that. Today the company exists to help individuals and businesses grow at the same time — and to make sure the people who put in the work are the people who move up.

03 Why Build A Business
“How far can you jump?”
The question behind the company.
We have always believed your future should be determined more by your effort than by your circumstances.
That question — how far can you jump? — is not a comparison to anyone else. It is a comparison to your own potential. Building this business was an opportunity to find that answer honestly: to create a company where income, opportunity, and success are earned through skill, discipline, leadership, and consistent personal development rather than being capped by a traditional career path.
More importantly, it was a chance to build an environment where other people could discover that same potential in themselves.
04 Leadership Journey
Leadership here was learned, not inherited.
Nobody in this company claims to have been a natural leader. The journey looked like a series of stages, each one humbling enough to force real growth.
Becoming a better salesperson
Learning the fundamentals properly — preparation, listening, resilience after a hard day — before trying to teach anyone else.
Becoming a better leader
Making plenty of early mistakes, accepting constructive feedback, and discovering that a team’s results follow the leader’s standards.
Becoming a better mentor
Shifting from managing activity to developing people, and being intentional about serving the person in front of you.
Becoming a better business owner
Building the systems, training and culture that let other people succeed without depending on any one individual.
Every stage required new skills and a willingness to be corrected. The lesson has been consistent: leadership is not about being perfect — it is about being committed to constant growth and helping the people around you succeed.
05 The Meaning Of 254
A name that points back to where it started.
254 is the international calling code for Kenya, the country where our founder was born.
The name is deeply personal, and it represents both a heritage and a vision. It is a constant reminder of roots, of the values that came with them, and of the journey that led here. It reflects resilience, ambition, and the belief that success is built through hard work, integrity, and perseverance.
By carrying “254” in our brand, we honour where we came from while embracing the opportunities ahead — and we build a company that values diversity, growth, and making a lasting impact.

06 Core Values
The standards we hold each other to.
Eight values that decide how we train, how we sell, and how we treat the people who trust us.
- 01IntegrityWe do what we said we would do, whether or not anyone is watching.
- 02ExcellenceGood enough is not the standard. We refine the details relentlessly.
- 03LeadershipWe measure leaders by the people they develop, not the titles they hold.
- 04GrowthEvery person here is expected to be better this quarter than last.
- 05AccountabilityWe own our numbers, our mistakes, and our commitments.
- 06TeamworkKnowledge is shared freely. Nobody advances alone here.
- 07InnovationWe test, adapt, and improve rather than repeating what is comfortable.
- 08Customer FirstEvery decision starts with the experience of the person in front of us.
07 Culture
Five words our team uses.
Ask anyone here to describe the company and the same words come back: driven, collaborative, growth oriented, accountable, supportive. Culture is not a poster on the wall — it is what happens on a slow Tuesday.
- Driven
- Collaborative
- Growth Oriented
- Accountable
- Supportive

Training is part of the daily rhythm
